Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Simulation Software Engineer to support a proprietary program within the Air Dominance organization in Berkeley, MO. This role will lead the design, architecture, and development of simulation models and frameworks for testing and analysis.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in developing simulation related software.
• 7+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or C#.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware / software integration, emulation, and/or testing, preferably in a lab environment.
• 3+ years of experience leading a software development team through the full software life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities, including development and maintenance of software architectures, requirements development, creating software designs, implementing complex software solutions, and testing / integration activities
• Lead and approve the software development plan, including the architecture, major components, and delivery milestones in collaboration with the program architects and other FSL teams
• Ensures software teams develop, document, and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for models and simulation frameworks
• Work closely with FSL hardware teams to ensure delivery of first time quality in integrated simulation and lab products and capabilities
• Lead efforts to collect customer inputs, prioritize needs across all stakeholders, and coordinate work across multiple scrum teams to meet customer deadlines.
• Trains and mentors others
• Works independently and provides technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams
• Perform technical design reviews for development across FSL to ensure software quality, commonality, and engineering excellence
