Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree or equivalent.
- We need candidates who can obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, with an interim and/or final Secret clearance after hire.
- We look for at least 2 years of programming experience in C, C , C#, Python, Java, or Ada, or an equivalent mix of technical education and experience.
- We require at least 2 years of experience as a software engineer.
- For higher-level positions, we prefer 5 years of related experience for Level 3 or 9 years for Level 4, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- We prefer an active Secret clearance or higher.
- We value experience in the defense or avionics sector.
- We prefer familiarity with basic networking principles.
- We value experience working on agile teams with tools such as Jira.
- We look for strong coordination and communication abilities.
- We need candidates who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- We value the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities:
- We develop, document, and maintain software architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
- We build, update, and integrate code and software components into complete working systems.
- We support the creation of simulation environments used by Mission Systems engineers for testing.
- We contribute as part of an agile team to help achieve shared goals.
- We conduct and record software research and development efforts.
- We work under general direction while supporting multiple simulation-related initiatives.
- We develop tools for simulation infrastructure across our Flight Simulation Labs.
- We may create core simulation infrastructure, build tools to simulate and monitor subsystem messaging, and model aircraft capabilities for constructive test scenarios.
