Job summary

Matthews Signs LLC is seeking a Lead Installer to run a two-person crew and take ownership of field execution from start to finish. The role requires daily regional travel in California and occasional night work with night differential.

You will load and transport signage, lead installations (channel letters, monuments, panels), direct a helper, communicate with customers and contractors on-site, report conditions in real time, operate lifts safely, and maintain a clean, organized jobsite with

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of lead sign installation experience.
• Proficient with lifts, tools, and field problem-solving.
• Strong attention to detail and accountability.
• Works with urgency and follows through.
• Team-oriented and dependable.
• Valid Class B Driver's License (required)

Responsibilities

• Load and transport signage using crane trucks, pickups, and trailers.
• Lead installations (channel letters, monuments, panels, etc.).
• Direct a helper and maintain jobsite productivity.
• Communicate with customers and contractors on-site.
• Report site conditions and issues to management in real time.
• Operate lifts and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area/truck.
• Report any maintenance needs for trucks.
• Complete job photos and required documentation.
• Perform night work as needed (night differential provided)
