The role involves installing, servicing, and removing commercial signage, operating cranes and rigging, and following precise installation drawings to satisfy customers.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in electrical sign installation, hands-on welding and fabrication skills, and a proven ability to work from heights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing various electrical sign types.
• Knowledge of sign-making materials (metals, plastics, vinyl).
• Experience with wall-mounted and ground signs.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and remove commercial signage of various types and sizes.

• Follow engineered drawings and installation instructions.
• Work from elevated platforms, ladders, and rooftops as required.

LEAD Sign Installation Tech
Stones River Electric is seeking a qualified and experienced sign installation technician with a solid background in construction and safe work at heights. The candidate will operate cranes and rigging equipment, maintain quality and safety standards, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and remove commercial signage of various types and sizes.
• Safely operate cranes, lifts, and rigging equipment to position and secure signs.
• Follow engineered drawings and installation instructions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency with power tools, welding equipment, and machinery; cutting torch and welding skills required.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications precisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working from heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for job management apps.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks; work in an industrial environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Conditions

Primarily workshop‑based with occasional outdoor installation or delivery tasks. Some overtime or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
