Job summary

Cactus Materials, Inc. seeks a Senior SiC Power Semiconductor Designer to lead architectural design, simulation, and packaging development of our high-power SiC modules in Phoenix.

You will drive DFM, EMI/parasitic modeling, thermal/structural analysis, and prototype validation with cross-functional teams; experience with AMB substrates, die attach methods, and high-voltage isolation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, materials, or mechanical engineering with focus on electronic packaging or power semiconductors.
• Minimum 5+ years designing and developing high-power semiconductor modules.
• Proficient in FEA and parasitic extraction tools; strong packaging know-how.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and layout design for high-voltage and high-current SiC power modules.
• Perform EMI/parasitic modeling to minimize stray inductance and overshoot.
• Conduct multi-physics thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis to ensure reliability.
• Select and qualify advanced packaging materials and die-attach methods.
• Drive DFM and collaborate with wafer fab and assembly partners for scalable processes.
• Lead prototype validation, testing, and failure analysis to improve designs.
