Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Staff Engineer to lead high-power applications work across SiC, IGBTs, and power modules. You will guide system architectures, drive design wins, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering globally.

You will develop evaluation platforms, assist with simulations, and mentor engineers while traveling internationally as needed. A strong background in high-power conversion and PCB design is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Experience with high-voltage and high-power semiconductor technologies (SiC, IGBTs, Power Modules).
Experience in system architecture and power topology selection.
Proficiency with PCB design tools and circuit/system-level simulation tools.
Strong communication and ability to present to customers, field teams, and executives.

Responsibilities

Drive strategic customer engagements and design wins with application expertise and system guidance.
Escalate and advise on architectures and component selection for complex challenges.
Create technical content: presentations, application notes, white papers, and training materials.
Mentor engineers and grow technical capabilities across the HPS organization.
Lead cross-functional teams and remove barriers to customer success and growth.
