Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Staff Signal Integrity Engineer to lead SI/PI efforts for autonomous driving hardware, sensors, and systems in Mountain View. You will shape simulation methodologies, model 3D structures, and validate high-speed interfaces to meet industry standards.

You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with design and test teams, applying HFSS, SIwave, and Cadence Sigrity tools, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of industry experience.
• Experience designing and implementing high-speed interfaces (PCIe Gen4/Gen5, automotive Ethernet, DDR/LPDDR4/5, MIPI, HDMI, USB).
• Strong EM knowledge and proficiency with SI/PI simulation tools (HFSS, SIwave, ADS or Cadence Sigrity).
• Solid understanding of transmission line theory, S-parameters, signal processing, PCB materials, stackup and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Lead SI/PI implementation in autonomous driving hardware systems, sensors and related hardware.
• Develop and implement simulation methodologies for PCB, high-speed channels, and SOC to optimize SI/PI performance.
• Model complex 3D structures such as PCB connectors and cables.
• Extract and characterize high-speed channels and validate against industry standards.
• Lead high-speed interfaces validation in the lab with VNA, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer and TDR.
