Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of driver compute modules and associated hardware in a hybrid work setting. You will advance mechanical packaging for high-density electronics and ensure designs are robust for mass production in safety-critical applications.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CAD design and 2D drawing with GD&T; Catia 3DX preferred.
• Experience designing for PCBAs, sensors, and interfacing with electrical components.
• Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing including injection molding, die-casting, stamping.
• Experience with harsh environments (shock, vibration, temperature cycling) and durability.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of Aurora Driver compute modules and their integration into vehicle architecture from concept through production.
• Develop robust, manufacturable electro-mechanical assemblies for safety-critical environments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, manufacturing, reliability, and CAE teams to deliver integrated hardware solutions.
• Support and sustain products deployed in autonomous driving and vehicle integration contexts.
