Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to shepherd hardware from concept through low-volume manufacturing. You will guide design engineers on manufacturing processes, own control plans and BOM transfer, and work with internal and external manufacturing partners to deliver integrated lidar and sensor hardware.

The role requires leading process development, vast cross-functional collaboration, and travel 20-35% with evening calls across regions. Hybrid in-office collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience in engineering roles with production environment exposure.
• Experience with launching hardware products through full life cycle.
• Proficient in SPC, 6 Sigma, quality control processes; understanding machine/process interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of hardware from concept to low-volume manufacturing.
• Guide design engineers on manufacturing processes and BOM transfer.
• Provide onsite engineering support for process/equipment issues and quality assurance.
