Job summary

Leoforce in Livingston, NJ is seeking a Senior Shop Foreman- Machine Builder to lead a talented team of machinists, technicians, and fabricators. You will oversee machine shop operations, ensure high-quality machinery, and drive safety and efficiency with the engineering team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a machine shop, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of BOMs, quality management, and CAD.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in a machine shop with 2+ years in leadership.
Strong knowledge of BOMs, quality management, and shop operations.
Proven ability to lead and train a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of our machine shop, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Lead, mentor, and train a team of machinists, technicians, and fabricators.
Ensure the production of high-quality machinery that meets client specs.
Develop and implement strategies for improving shop efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with Engineering to design, build, and test new machinery.
Maintain strict quality control, inspecting machinery before delivery.
Handle BOMs for all projects.
Foster a safe and healthy work environment with all safety protocols.
Manage shop resources, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment.
Resolve issues or conflicts that arise in the shop.
