Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet is seeking an experienced manager to oversee ship maintenance, repair, and modernization efforts. You will lead a team, develop objectives, and ensure work is planned, scheduled, and resourced effectively to meet program goals.

The role requires coordinating with stakeholders, monitoring progress, and reporting status through meetings and formal updates. Travel and security clearances may be required as part of the DoD environment.

Responsibilities

  • You will develop goals and objectives assigned to subordinates based on priorities and the experience required and capabilities of the assigned employees.
  • You will plan and schedule work to promote a smooth flow and even distribution of work within the branch.
  • You will identify requirements and initiate requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives.
  • You will perform Branch Manager level functions of oversight and development of first line supervisors and Shipbuilding Specialists assigned within the program.
  • You will identify and initiate action to correct, prevent, and minimize delays, resolving all problems that affect quality schedule and contractor performance.
  • You will advise all stakeholders or project status through periodic production meetings, status reports, and the customer feedback loop.
