Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Ten years of managerial or supervisory experience in engineering projects at the Program level involving modernization, maintenance, installation, operation, repair, design, or testing of submarine and surface craft HM&E or electronic systems/equipment.
• Knowledge of Navy organizations, shipyard operations, budgeting, and process improvements.
• Experience in SUBSAFE/Level 1 material work and submarine testing and certification.
• Experience with Earned Value Management principles and Microsoft Project for scheduling.
• Ability to identify changes in work scope, manage customer inputs, and lead schedule resolution.
• Willingness to travel and manage ship repair availabilities in remote locations; ability to obtain/maintain access to US military installations.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe project execution within cost, schedule, and scope across project phases.
• Directly interface with customers, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan, estimate, staff, direct work, and reconcile final billings on assigned projects.
• Mentor Project Managers to ensure completion of projects meeting quality, technical, schedule, and profit goals.
• Identify and mitigate risks; lead teams to resolve schedule/production conflicts.
• Lead post-project reviews to capture learnings for future projects.
