Applegreen USA Welcome Centers in Teaneck, NJ, is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure exceptional service, and uphold brand standards and food safety.

You will train new teammates, manage cash handling, and supervise opening/closing procedures while maintaining a friendly, efficient atmosphere for travelers.

The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and a readiness to adapt to busy shifts across days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including labeling, dating, stocking, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members and follow brand standards and safety requirements.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems and perform other assigned tasks.
