Job summary

Oliver Inc. in Massachusetts seeks a hands-on Lead Pressman to orchestrate a multi-color offset operation and mentor a two-person press crew. You will ensure color accuracy, registration, and print quality while advancing efficiency and continuous improvement on the pressroom floor.

You’ll partner with leadership to refine processes, manage materials, and uphold safety and clean-work standards across production runs, with a focus on top-tier 4-color process packaging.

Qualifications

• Lead Pressman experience: multi-color offset printing (4-color process).
• Minimum 2 years in a lead role; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong English communication and math proficiency (fractions/decimals).
• Expertise in ink/water balance, color management, and registration.
• Experience with Mitsubishi presses and paperboard packaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely produce premium paperboard packaging to specs.
• Review job orders and proofs before production.
• Set up and tune a multi-color sheetfed offset press.
• Lead a press team and provide coaching and feedback.
• Monitor color accuracy using proofs and densitometry.
• Maintain operation efficiency and quality, troubleshoot issues.
• Manage raw materials, minimize waste, and track data.
• Ensure line clearances and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Collaborate with Director of Print Technologies to improve processes.
