Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Lead Service Technician focused on Life Safety Services. You will install, inspect, test, and maintain life safety systems for established customers on a scheduled basis.

The role requires strong hands-on skills with fire protection equipment, regulatory knowledge, and field supervision capabilities. Eligible candidates must pass safety and credential checks and drive responsibilities may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation and/or maintenance, repair and service of Life Safety Systems.
• Advance industry segment knowledge.
• Maintain minimum productivity of 95% within 60 days.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a Customer Account or Project.
• Ability to repair and service equipment sold by Vallen.
• Current Motor Vehicle License with good driving record.
• Commercial Driver's License required if carrying loads of hazardous materials.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Able to complete repairs and maintenance of equipment in a timely and accurate manner.
• Able to provide assistance, advise and training to Vallen associates and plant personnel.
• Assist warehouse personnel with order fulfillment if needed.
• Keep all certifications and licenses current and renewed by completing continuing education as required.
• Must pass Drug & Alcohol screen, Physical exam, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality of service to our customers and assist HTS technicians with training.
• Provide installation and ITM of Life Safety Systems including Fire Alarms and Detection.
• May supervise or lead other technicians within area of expertise.
• Coordinate job activities with customers and internal teams.
• Document all tasks accurately for invoicing and records.
• Maintain inventory related to job and maintenance orders.
• Follow all regulatory standards (State, OSHA, NFPA).
• Stay current with safety and company policies.
