Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician III to lead routine and complex maintenance across our properties. Under the Service Maintenance Manager, you will handle interior and exterior repairs, respond to service requests, and ensure quality prep for new residents.

This roving role requires five in-office days per week with flex on-site coverage. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in property maintenance, strong trades skills, safety focus, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate in English; bilingual helpful.
• Experience with maintenance or property management is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and PPE practices required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly.
• Monitor preventive maintenance for building systems and equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Support REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Provide technical guidance to junior techs and assist with contractor management.
• Participate in weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency duties.
