Benchmark Senior Living in Bedford is seeking a Lead Server to join our dining team. You will serve meals and beverages to residents, ensure timely, presentable service, and uphold Benchmark policies. The role includes delivering room-service meals and maintaining a clean, safe dining area.

We value friendly, personalized service and pride in high-quality meals. CPR may be required within six months; prior dining room and server experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous dining room and server experience is required.
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Must interact effectively with residents and staff.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Addresses resident concerns or any problem with service immediately.
• Accounts for all residents at meals, reporting residents who do not attend to the RCD.
• Ensures all room service meals are delivered to residents’ apartments and picked up after meals.
• Monitors the dining room during mealtimes to ensure proper service.
• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are both presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Follows safety regulations and precautions.
• Follows established Infection Control procedures when performing daily tasks.
• Ensures that all food service areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
