Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group seeks a Lead Server for StoryPoint to ensure efficient restaurant operation and high standards of service for residents and guests. This full-time role covers Fri–Sun 12p–7p and Mon–Thu 7a–2p, overseeing dining room staff, coordinating reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining quality and timeliness of service.

The ideal candidate has associates degree or equivalent with 1–3 years related experience, plus a background in fine dining and strong communication

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent; or 1–3 years related experience; fine dining experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to apply good judgment in following written or oral instructions; handle problems with multiple variables.
• Maintains a high energy level and is self-motivated.
• Carries incredibly high standards in their work.

Responsibilities

• Staffing responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• The Restaurant Manager handles and fixes all complaints to insure a great dining experience.
• Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service.
• Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness.
• Inventories table linens and other dining room supplies.
• Trains dining room employees in proper service etiquette.
• Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization.
