Job summary

Timber Creek Property Owners Association in Fort Myers, FL, is seeking a full-time Lead Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service. You will lead servers and assist with training while ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include POS operation, cash handling, maintaining standards, and collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to execute seamless service. A ServSafe/TIPS certification is preferred, with strong communication and reliability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of server experience preferred.
• ServSafe or TIPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take food and beverage orders in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Assist with setting and rearranging tables to accommodate parties.
• Respond to questions about menu items and special requests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free dining area and replenish items as needed.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
• Support opening/closing checklists and pre-shift briefings.
• Lead by example and help train new servers and staff.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. General Purpose:

Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions. Assists with department training, development and implementing customer service standards.

• Ensures guests are immediately attended to upon arrival and manages customer traffic flow on the restaurant floor.
• Assists with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties.
• Responds to customer questions or concerns regarding any menu item or various other facets of food service.
• Ensures guests are satisfied with the service provided and that items are replenished as needed and and maintains a clean and clutter free dining room .
• Communicates guest concerns or comments immediately to management.
• Processes cash and check transactions. Utilizes the point of sales system and trains new associates.
• Follows established cash handling procedures and ensures that other staff adhere to procedures.
• Assists in d evelop ment of opening and closing checklists and ensures staff has completed duties daily .
• Assists in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Ensures established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques are followed.
• Ensures all service associates are knowledgeable of the menu items.
• Leads other servers, kitchen and bar staff before, during and after meal service periods to execute a “Member/Guest Comes First” approach.
• Assists the department manager in training, planning and assigning work. Addresses complaints and resolves problems with service staff.
• Assists in the coordination of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Servers, Hosts.
• Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• 2+ years’ Server experience preferred
• 2+ years’ experience with a restaurant POS software platform
• 1+ years’ experience at current Club or another Troon property

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits; climbs or balances. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

ServSafe Certified (Food Manager & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Must have legible handwriting
• Patience and customer-oriented approach
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
