Job summary

Pavion is seeking a Lead Technician to supervise security technicians installing, configuring, and testing CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems for data center builds. You will coordinate with construction, electrical, and network teams to ensure timely, compliant installations.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprints proficiency, and IT networking familiarity. Travel to sites is expected; OSHA 10/30 are preferred and lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certs preferred
• 5+ years installing, configuring, and commissioning security systems
• 2+ years in a leadership/supervisory role
• Experience with security system installs on new construction or large projects
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related tech
• Able to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
• Familiarity with low‑voltage systems and IT networking
• Strong troubleshooting and mentoring abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• OSHA 10/30 certs; able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to travel to project sites

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of security technicians for data center projects
• Oversee installation and commissioning of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
• Coordinate with construction, electrical, and network teams
• Ensure quality and compliance with safety and industry standards
• Troubleshoot issues during installation and escalate as needed
• Train junior technicians on installation and troubleshooting
• Maintain installation documentation and progress reports
• Perform on‑site testing and post‑installation support
