Job summary

Pavion is seeking a Lead Technician to join our security business unit. You will lead a team of technicians installing, configuring, and testing security systems for new data center builds, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Collaborate with construction, electrical, and network teams; mentor junior staff; perform post-install support and detailed documentation. Travel to project sites will be required as part of this role.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; NICET or related degree preferred.
5+ years installing, configuring, and commissioning security systems.
2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role; data center experience preferred.
Experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and related tech.
Reading blueprints/schematics; low-voltage and IT networking familiarity.
Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and reporting skills; OSHA certs.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of security technicians on site for data center projects.
Oversee installation, configuration, and testing of security systems per design.
Collaborate with construction, electrical, and network teams for coordinated work.
Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance; maintain documentation.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and post-installation support.
Train junior technicians and document progress; generate reports for stakeholders.
Coordinate with vendors and manage installation schedules; travel to sites.
