Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Lead Security Project Technician in Columbia, MD to install, program, startup, certify, and train on assigned projects, including small or less complex ones. You will be part of a dynamic team with growth opportunities and a strong customer-focus.

The role requires hands-on installation, programming, and mentoring responsibilities, plus travel to local sites. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in enterprise security installations and certifications with Lenel, Genetec, Bosch,

Qualifications

5+ years enterprise-level security system installation & programming experience.
Experience with Lenel, Software House, Avigilon, Bosch, Genetec, DMP certifications considered a plus.
Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
Able to travel locally to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Install, program, test, and service security systems per project scope.
Train customers on systems and provide support during commissioning.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for field installation.
Collaborate with Project Manager to manage schedule and budget across multiple projects.
