Job summary

Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) seeks a Security Lead II to oversee on-site security operations at the Frost Bank Center and related properties. You will supervise a team of security officers, manage access control, monitor CCTV and alarms, and coordinate with event teams to ensure safety and guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Must possess or be able to obtain Texas State Security License.
• Knowledge of CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office and incident reporting software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Access Control – Monitor and control access to restricted areas; operate alarm systems and surveillance to maintain situational awareness.
• Patrols & Emergency Response – Perform interior/exterior patrols; respond to alarms and incidents per security protocols.
• Operational Readiness – Support facility readiness for events; coordinate emergency procedures with internal/external teams.
• Risk Management & Compliance – Ensure adherence to standards; identify and report hazards; assist in risk assessments.
• Documentation & Reporting – Prepare incident and daily activity logs; maintain chain of custody for evidence.
• Communication & Service – Communicate professionally with guests, employees, vendors, and safety officials.
• Event Coordination – Plan and execute security measures for events; ensure attendee and staff safety.
• Team Oversight – Lead and mentor security officers; ensure tasks are completed safely and per policy.
• Credential Management – Oversee requests for access control credentials.
• Lost & Found – Manage logs and storage; coordinate returns of recovered items.
• Technology & Systems Oversight – Troubleshoot access control, CCTV, alarms, and visitor systems; report malfunctions.
• Training & Development – Lead periodic training on procedures and customer service.
