Job summary

Chatham Financial is seeking an influential Security Engineering Manager to lead a growing security team in a cloud-native SaaS environment. You will design controls across Azure infrastructure, containers, and .NET applications while maturing secure architecture and threat modeling.

You will own SDLC security, shift-left practices in CI/CD, and manage third-party penetration testing with audit readiness. Strong collaboration with engineering, DevOps, and compliance is essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of security engineering experience with software or cloud focus.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers and building a team.
• Deep hands-on cloud security expertise (Azure required).
• Experience securing modern application stacks (.NET) and containerized environments.
• Strong understanding of secure coding, threat modeling, and OWASP Top 10.
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 controls and working with auditors.
• Experience managing third-party penetration testing vendors and remediation tracking.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Security Engineering function as a player-coach.
• Design and implement security controls across Azure, containers, and .NET apps.
• Mature cloud and application security practices with threat modeling and secure architecture.
• Integrate security into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Coordinate third-party pen tests, define scope, and track remediation.
• Deliver secure coding guidance and training to engineering teams.
