Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 7+ years in security engineering.
• 5+ years in security engineering with federal government context.
• Experience with NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 controls.
• Strong CI/CD security and secure software supply chain knowledge.
• Solid networking and endpoint security understanding.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and cloud security.
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation processes.
• Cloud security experience in AWS and/or Azure.
• willingness to travel up to 10%.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on information security solutions and guide other engineers.
• Lead or contribute to security projects and mentor staff.
• Implement, configure, and maintain security solutions and provide direction.
• Coordinate enterprise project work and align resources across teams.
• Prioritize program elements based on risk and business impact.
• Advise on security controls across cloud, network, and endpoints.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation tracking.
• Advise on SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability tools.
• Collaborate with system admins, network engineers, and CI/CD to address risks.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and system security plans.
• Recommend improvements to security posture, compliance, and ops efficiency.
• Support Zero Trust, secure configuration management, and cloud security best practices.
• Review proposals/bids for technical compliance.
• Act as ISO stakeholder in Enterprise Risk and Assurance activities.
• Communicate security initiatives and designs to ISO leadership.
