Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Lead SDET to go beyond traditional QA, building frameworks and ensuring fast, reliable releases with minimal bug leakage. You will influence architecture, enable shift-left practices, and mentor the QA team toward quality-first delivery.

You will lead initiatives across UI and API testing, performance, and scalability, design automation frameworks, review code, and collaborate with DevOps and product stakeholders to maintain product excellence across the stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software testing and automation, incl. 3+ years in a lead or senior role
• Experience building and scaling automation frameworks for UI and API
• Strong coding in languages used for test automation (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java)
• Hands-on with microfrontend architectures and databases like MongoDB and Firebase
• CI/CD pipelines experience and integrating automation for continuous testing

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives across UI, API, performance, and scalability testing
• Design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for UI and API testing
• Code reviews for junior engineers and mentoring across the team
• Drive shift-left testing by embedding testing in design and development phases
• Partner with product and engineering to validate scalability and infrastructure-level quality
• Provide technical quality insights on microfrontend architecture and databases
• Mentor QA/SDET team to improve testing mindset and skills
• Encourage innovative testing approaches for faster delivery and lower defect leakage
• Collaborate with developers, PMs, DevOps and stakeholders to own quality across the lifecycle
• Conduct RCA for prod issues and close defect leakage gaps
