Job summary

Michelman is seeking an Advanced Scientist to join Global R&D, supporting Agriculture and Materials Innovation. You will create waterborne formulations and application-focused solutions by linking structure-property relationships to performance.

You will collaborate across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Manufacturing and more to translate concepts into viable product platforms, becoming a go-to technical resource for coating optimization in agriculture and emerging materials.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer/Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant industrial experience in formulation, coatings, polymeric materials, agricultural technologies, controlled release systems, or related development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and marketing to frame market-driven problems.
• Lead development of application-focused solutions for Agriculture Coatings and Materials Innovation.
• Design and run lab-scale experiments and scale-up studies.
• Evaluate coating performance on seeds and substrates.
• Document results and communicate with business and technology leadership.
