Job summary

Michelman, Global Headquarters in Cincinnati, is seeking an Advanced Scientist to join the Global R&D organization for our Digital Print business, supporting the Inkjet platform. You will develop waterborne product prototypes by linking structure to function and drive new product platforms for inkjet packaging.

Collaboration with sales, technology, marketing, and manufacturing teams will be essential as you screen technologies and document results to support market-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer/Materials Science, or related field with at least 5 years experience
• Advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop problem statements based on market trends and customer needs
• Lead development of application-centric solutions within the Digital Print team
• Design new lab-scale experiments to evaluate concepts
• Build knowledge of coating application methods and performance tests
• Develop and evaluate lab-scale prototypes against market criteria
• Document thoroughly all experiments and results
• Provide technical updates to business and technology leadership
• Foster collaboration with global technical teams
