Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead innovation and development of waterborne coatings for OEM and consumer markets in a dynamic environment.

The role focuses on product and process development, commercialization, and technical leadership across R&D teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in coatings chemistry, project management, and strategic decision making, with experience guiding multi-disciplinary groups and collaborating with marketing and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of technical supervisory or leadership experience with a diverse workforce.
• M.S. or equivalent science degree in Chemistry.
• Minimum 10 years’ technical experience in product development in coatings chemistry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, quality assurance, scale‑up, and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development efforts in waterborne coatings.
• Develop and commercialize coating systems for OEM and consumer use.
• Manage R&D projects and cross‑functional teams with technical leadership.
• Mentor and coach team members to foster innovation and execution.
