Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker to manage school nutrition operations, lead the kitchen team, and ensure safe, nutritious meals for students. This role follows a school calendar with a Monday–Friday schedule and no nights or weekends.

Requirements include a high school diploma or associates degree with relevant school nutrition experience, ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain, and strong communication skills. Salary is $20.18/hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent with relevant field and 1 year school nutrition experience.
• ,
• High School diploma or GED plus 3 years school nutrition experience.
• ServSafe certification required or willing to obtain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead meal preparation and serving that meet nutrition guidelines.
• Handle daily ordering, receiving, and storage of food and supplies.
• Organize cleaning and enforce food safety.
• Set up serving lines and stock beverage areas.
• Deliver meals to classrooms or events.
• Manage POS and deposits; maintain accuracy.
• Contribute to a supportive, mission-driven team.
