Taher, Inc. is seeking a Head Cook to join our team in Kentucky. You will cook and prepare meals using standardized recipes for school, corporate, and community settings, while leading a small kitchen staff and ensuring HACCP and food safety standards.

The role emphasizes quality, timely execution, cost control, and nutrition education. You will train staff, manage inventory, and uphold product and menu costs, with guaranteed hours and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 2 years prior experience in a school food service setting preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand long hours.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food through standardized recipes.
• Ensures meals meet quality standards, prepared on time.
• Directs food service staff and subs in preparation, setup, and serving.
• Maintains HACCP standards and inventory control.
• Cost control and budget management; establish monthly food and labor cost goals.
• Promotes nutrition education in school and community.
• Performs other duties as requested by leadership.
