Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a school food service setting preferred.
• Able to lead a small team and follow supervisors direction.
• Strong communication with employees and client.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• ServSafe certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food through standardized recipes.
• Ensures meals meet quality standards and are timely.
• Monitors and directs food service staff and subs.
• Prepares menu items for regular and a la carte lines.
• Leads a small staff and provides clear direction and training.
• Checks equipment and monitors temperatures of refrigeration units.
• Utilizes leftovers per standards and HACCP requirements.
• Manages ordering, receiving, storage and inventory of perishables.
• Conducts cost control analysis and monitors costs.
• Establishes monthly food and labor cost goals.
