Job summary

Broward County Public Schools seeks a Manager, Construction to lead the construction function within the district's capital program. The role directs project consultants, collaborates with the Director of Construction, and ensures timely, cost-effective school facility improvements across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and have extensive experience overseeing large public construction projects, with master’s degree and PMP/CMS credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in construction management or related field in medium to large projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct the construction functional area within the capital program.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and District personnel.
• Review bid specifications, submittals, change orders, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, procedures and specifications.
• Provide leadership and customer service for District projects.
