Job summary

NAVBASE Point Loma seeks a Youth Director to administer a developmentally appropriate youth program serving eligible patrons. You will direct SAC/YP operations, ensure safety, security and staff training, and manage facility needs for up to 199 children.

You will work with military families, coordinate emergency plans, and supervise personnel while ensuring regulatory compliance with DoD and state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience and KSAs related to leading a youth program.
• Ability to design and manage a complex program including safety, training and facility management.
• Knowledge of regulations pertaining to military child care and child abuse prevention.
• Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and purchasing for a youth program.
• Strong leadership and collaboration with military families.

Responsibilities

• Administer a developmentally appropriate youth program for children of eligible patrons.
• Direct and operate a School Age Care (SAC) program and/or a Youth Program (YP.
• Coordinate safety, security, disease prevention, and staff training.
• Engage parents and manage facility operations for up to 199 children.
• Supervise staff and respond to emergencies and health concerns.
