Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a Manager of SATCOM System Engineers to lead the Customer Terminal team, directing architecture, integration, and validation of CT hardware, software, and firmware. You will collaborate with electrical, RF, antenna, silicon, and product design engineers to ensure performance.

This role includes in-field and on-orbit validation with satellites and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or other relevant engineering discipline.
7+ years of satellite terminal development, integration, and validation experience.
Experience leading an engineering team.
Experience with communication systems, RF, and antenna.
Experience with test instruments such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, channel emulators, and GNSS emulators.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers, provide mentorship and career growth.
Develop CT architecture with subsystem engineers across RF, antenna, thermal, modem, DSP, ASIC, and software.
Develop validation plans, build validation infrastructure, execute tests, analyze data, report results.
Investigate and resolve validation failures by leading cross-functional teams.
Ensure delivered work meets technical, functional, performance, regulatory, and business requirements.
Perform in-field and on-orbit validation with satellites.
Travel up to 10% of the time depending on project phases.
