Job summary
Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks an experienced antenna engineer to lead design and validation of high-performance antennas for satellite terminals. You will drive EM simulation, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and PM teams.
The role requires hands-on testing, correlation of data with simulations, and travel to support hardware builds. A background in CST/HFSS/FEKO and SolidWorks is highly valued.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of antenna design related to 3G/4G technologies, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth products experience.
- Knowledge of antenna fundamentals and radiation theory; EM simulation experience.
- Experience with prototyping and implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Antenna and RF test and measurement expertise.
Responsibilities
- EM simulation and modeling to inform antenna performance and required volumes.
- Antenna prototyping and correlation between measurement and simulation.
- Element tuning and optimization.
- Antenna location and interoperability assessments for desense-free performance.
- Passive and active antenna characterization.
- Compile performance reports and present to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, layout, regulatory, and PM teams.
- Support factory test stations and hardware builds.
- Use SolidWorks/analyze structural performance and thermo-mechanical interactions with assembly.
- Travel as required.
