Job summary

Zipline is expanding its ground systems and site infrastructure to enable autonomous delivery. You will own the technical path from customer solution design through permitting, construction, commissioning, and initial operation.

This role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field and 4+ years in technical hardware sales or construction, with CAD proficiency and AHJ navigation. Based in the metro region with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in technical hardware sales or construction.
• Experience designing technical solutions for contractor-installed equipment and light commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical sales and site solution design with customers, producing layouts, technical documents, specifications, and cut sheets.
• Own site delivery from evaluation through construction, commissioning, and initial operation, coordinating internal teams, customers, contractors, and installation partners.
• Develop preconstruction strategies and secure entitlements, permits, inspections, and approvals with jurisdictions and AHJs.
• Manage parallel site infrastructure and light-commercial construction projects, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Source, bid, evaluate, and manage contractors across trades while balancing quality, schedule, and budgets.
• Translate deployment constraints and customer feedback into prioritized product changes with engineering and business teams.
