Job summary

Zipline is hiring a Development Manager Lead to drive ground infrastructure strategy and execution for autonomous operations. You will oversee a portfolio from site due diligence through permitting and construction readiness, partnering with Engineering, Construction, Government Affairs, Legal, Operations, and Real Estate.

You will mentor Development Managers, shape permitting strategies, and manage AHJ and utility coordination to enable scalable, reliable infrastructure supporting Zipline's

Qualifications

• 8-15+ years leading land or infrastructure development projects through permitting and construction readiness.
• Experience guiding multiple concurrent development programs with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong technical and business judgment for complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of ground infrastructure projects from site due diligence through permitting and construction readiness.
• Provide technical leadership and align permitting strategies with business goals.
• Mentor Development Managers and drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Legal, Operations, and Government Affairs.
• Navigate AHJs, utility coordination, and regulatory environments to accelerate delivery.
• Identify portfolio risks and implement mitigations to protect schedules and budgets.
