Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, customer-first store environment. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock and merchandise displays, and support management in daily store operations.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, math proficiency for cash handling, and adherence to safety policies. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills preferred.
• Ability to follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling.
• Knowledge of safety policies and cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchase, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise and build displays; restock and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
