Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and help with planograms and store openings and closing duties.

This role requires strong communication, basic math, and reliable transportation to bank deposits; high school diploma and six months of supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training).
• Understand safety policies and practices.
• Able to read planograms and follow merchandise guides.
• Capable of operating a cash register and handling payments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and make change.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and follow planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
