Job summary

Dollar General Towanda is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to deliver a customer-first shopping experience. You will help customers, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and assist with planograms under the Store Manager’s guidance.

You’ll uphold safety policies, perform basic math at the register, lift up to 55 pounds, and lead by example in absence of the Store Manager. This full-time role supports store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Capable of basic mathematical calculations and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock, rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
