Job summary

Accelera in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Rotor Dynamics Engineer to assess stability, vibrational behavior, and speed-dependent performance of rotating machinery used in jet engines.

You will forecast critical speeds, develop Campbell diagrams, and mentor engineers while leading design reviews to ensure aerospace quality and MIL-STD/AS9100 compliance.

This onsite role requires a decade of hands-on leadership in mechanical design projects within aerospace settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Deep expertise in Rotor Dynamics within aerospace, especially in complex mechanical systems design.
• Proficiency with ANSYS Workbench or ANSYS APDL and 1D Beam-based FEA methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Forecast critical speeds and generate Campbell diagrams for rotating machinery.
• Perform structural analyses of shafting and rotor dynamics and guide reviews to ensure project success.
• Mentor engineering teams and lead design reviews aligned with aerospace standards.
