Job summary

RTX advances in aerospace engineering to shape the future of propulsion. The Compression Systems Engineering team seeks an experienced engineer to lead rotor design activities, support PW1500G and PW1900G fleets, and collaborate across disciplines to resolve technical issues and drive manufacturing improvements.

Responsibilities include supporting production, evaluating tolerances, and implementing engineering changes, with a focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery within an onsite role

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 5+ years of mechanical design experience OR advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with aerospace hardware, reading blueprints, and manufacturing methods.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Support rotor design in the Fan/LPC/HPC domain and participate in production ramp.
• Assist with production support and engineering changes as needed (Class II, Must Conform, Production Alteration).
• Support Quality Notifications and non-conformance analysis with required disciplines.
• Engage with multiple disciplines and IPT to drive design improvements.
