Stony Brook University Medical Center is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead a unit on a shift, supervise nursing staff, and provide high-quality patient care. The role requires at least two years of post-licensure acute care experience, an NYS RN license (BSN preferred), and ACLS/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of post-licensure acute care experience required.
• Education includes licensure as a registered nurse with NYS; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required; strong IV and procedural skills expected.
• Unit/area specialty experience and precepting/mentoring are desirable.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Charge RN and provide first-level supervision of nursing staff.
• Develop and review initial nursing assessment and interdisciplinary care plan.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Conduct ongoing patient education and ensure charted documentation is complete.
