Job summary

PACS is seeking an experienced RN to lead the Nursing Service Department in a long-term care facility. The Director of Nursing Services will direct day-to-day nursing activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive quality improvement across all nursing functions.

The role requires a Nursing Degree, unencumbered RN license, CPR certification, and 2+ years in long-term care, with training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• 2 years or more experience preferably in a long term care facility.
• Must have a current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with rules and guidelines governing long-term care.
• Develop and update Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure staff compliance.
• Lead committees and coordinate with Care Plan and QA committees.
• Ensure adequate staffing and delegation to charge nurses and CNAs.
• Monitor medication administration and nursing treatments for quality and safety.
• Participate in training, supervision, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
