Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide leadership in patient care, assess and plan nursing strategies, and evaluate outcomes within our acute care setting.

You will supervise nursing staff and coordinate with the health care team to ensure safe, patient-centered care aligned with facility policies and standards. The role may require weekend/holiday/evening/night/on-call work as needed, with an emphasis on service excellence and collaboration with ancillary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as RN in Texas or compact state.
• BSN preferred; ADN/BSN/Diploma acceptable.
• Maintains BLS certification.
• Maintains unit-specific certifications (ARC/AHA) such as CPR, ACLS, NRP when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care to patients per policies and standards.
• Lead and supervise nursing staff; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient-centered care and participate in care planning and evaluation.
• Work weekends/evenings/on-call as needed.

Education

Texas RN license

BSN preferred

Nursing degree (ADN/BSN/Diploma)

Compact state license

Temporary Texas RN license
