Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care for patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures. The RN will lead and guide the nursing team in assessing, planning, and evaluating care according to hospital policies.

The role may require weekend, holiday, evening, night shifts or on-call status, with a focus on service excellence and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Texas or part of a compact state license, or holds a temporary Texas RN license pending permanent licensure.
• Educational requirement: Associate, Baccalaureate, or Diploma in Nursing; new graduates may provide program documentation.
• Must maintain BLS and current certifications as per ARC/AHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care in alignment with facility policies and standards; lead and support the healthcare team.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care for patients under their supervision.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and ancillary departments; manage patient care concerns and resolutions.
• Possibility of weekend/holiday/evening/night shifts or on-call status; demonstrate Service Excellence.
