Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities during the tour of duty and to ensure care quality in compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

The role involves directing nursing services, developing policies, maintaining manuals, coordinating with resident services, and participating in care planning and quality assurance activities to uphold high standards of resident care.

Qualifications

• RN license required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Direct nursing services in accordance with current rules and guidelines.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures for the nursing service.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.
• Report to the Director of Nursing as necessary or required.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Participate in the facility's quality assurance program.
• Plan the department's services, programs and activities with staff.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Interpret policies to personnel, residents, visitors and agencies.
• Perform administrative duties such as forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
• Protect resident information and report access violations.
• Attend committee meetings and prepare reports as requested.
• Contribute to discharge planning and Care Plan discussions.
