Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• BSN degree required; must obtain BSN within four years of hire/promotion.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit Specific Certification such as ACLS, PALS, etc.
• Experience in the assigned clinical area.
• Mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the nursing team on the shift and department.
• Assess patient status and gather information from the interdisciplinary team.
• Develop and adjust plan of care with patient and family involvement.
• Prepare patients for next steps, referrals, and follow-up as needed.
• Direct the care team and delegate tasks according to the plan of care.
• Monitor resources, staffing, and outcomes to ensure quality and safety.
