Responsibilities

• Acts as a member of the department Leadership Team under the direction of the department Director & Manager.
• Aids in organizing day-to-day activities of the department.
• Assists in compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.
• Manages resources including personnel, supplies and equipment.
• Coordinates staff development, training, and competency attainment.
• Leads quality improvement efforts and department goals.
• Resolves staff or patient concerns using chain of command as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensures proper documentation and capture of patient charges.
